About Us!

Dear Kate Events was created by two high school friends who had a knack for planning parties. Katherine and Kaitlin were their friend’s trusted planners when it came to get-togethers, birthday parties and eventually weddings and baby showers.

While their careers took them in other directions, they always held onto the dream of creating an event planning company. After Katherine moved back to Indiana from Chicago, they figured it was the perfect opportunity to get their business off the ground. The name Dear Kate comes from something we all love to receive, an invitation while Kate is a childhood nickname of both Kaitlin and Katherine. With those ideas in mind, Dear Kate Events was born.

Dear Kate’s goal is to make every wedding a special and personalized event, just like an invitation with your name on it.
